Beautiful Spiral Staircase!
The spiral staircase is a focal point in the great room and a space-saving solution to reach the loft.

Considering the stairway design before the floor plans are set rather than after. “So many people come to us to create a specific staircase after their plans have already been drawn,” says Kimberly Horning, who along with her husband Tad founded StairMeister Log Works in Boulder,Colorado.
“Unfortunately, a lot of the time the stairway they want will not work with the floor plan they already have. Just as people spend a great deal of time beforehand planning the kitchen, so, too, should a stairway get the same amount of attention.”
This sentiment is echoed by Lisa Schneider of Schneider Construction in Iola, Wisconsin. which makes log stairways, mantels, and more. “About seven in 10 customers come to us after the walls are up,” she says. “We can work with that, but we are more limited. It’s best to come to us when the floor plans are being worked on.”
Schneider creates custom stairways in its shop, breaks it down, and ships the components to the home. Carpenters can assemble it in a day if the headers and floor are ready.
Most clients experience a time of eight weeks from initial phone call to installation, Schneider says.
