Wonderful Kitchens In Every Style

Wonderful Kitchens In Every Style

All too often, the popular imagination of a log home means a home of one style. This style is typically presented as being traditional to downright rustic. Of course, log homes can come in many different styles, as we have featured here on the blog. Today, we’d like to again highlight the true diversity of log home styles by focusing on our favorite kitchens in several different styles.

Freemont Log Home kitchen

This first kitchen is a favorite overall. Its large farmhouse sink provides wondrous usability and visual appeal. The cabinets have some decoration with their raised trim but are certainly far from showy. There is also a nice mix between opaque cabinets (to hide dishes and cookware) and glass-fronted cabinets that display the nicer pieces. The stove is conveniently close to the island, which features bar seating.

This next California log home kitchen is quite a bit more ornate. The black cabinets and island really stand out against the log walls and rafters. The appliances are all modern and offer every convenience, from a pot filler over the stove to a second prep sink in the island. Here, the upper cabinets are all glass, so you have to make sure to keep your dishes tidy! The narrow legs and backs on the island chairs also add a touch of elegance to the kitchen.

Mammoth Cave KY (L11207) Kitchen

This Kentucky log home might be what you could call a transitional kitchen. Here again we find a second prep sink and modern appliances in stainless steel and even an industrial-style stove. Yet the rest of the kitchen is constructed in a traditional style to soften the look of the modern conveniences. The Stove is housed in a brick arch which harkens back to ancient kitchens, while the dark finish on the traditional cabinets also adds to the timeless appearance of the space.

Moultonborough NH (8108)

Of course, if you are looking for the quintessential rustic log home kitchen there are plenty of great examples of that, too. This New Hampshire home packs a great deal of rustic features into a small kitchen. The overhead pot rack makes finding the perfect cookware a breeze while fitting right in with this kitchen’s décor. The simple pine cabinets are perfect as well with their iron hardware. The log bar stools for the island complete the package for this wonderful rustic kitchen.
